One question folks frequently ask is: "How long?" I do have commissions on hand, and given that it is a part-time endeavor, you'd be looking at anywhere from 3-6 months before I could probably start your project. Some commissions are complex, others are simple. I can give you a better idea of a start time if you tell me what you have in mind.

     I'm not a professional woodworker, but I do try to do good solid work...nothing will leave my shop that I'm not proud of. On a scale of 1 - 10 (ten being professional) I'd probably rate myself a 7. Those who have received my work say I rate myself too low. That may be, but I'll all too aware of the mistakes and imperfections. Even though the mistakes and imperfections are an inherent part of working with the living creature that is wood, there's still that desire or quest for greater perfection.

     I have taken 3 courses at the Center for Furniture Craftsmanship, done much reading, and above all, have learned MUCH from my mistakes.

     Ideally, you would provide the design or a good description for what you have in mind. Don't limit yourself to what you see on these pages. I'm willing to try most anything, for that's how one learns!
