St. Joseph Regional Medical Center
In March 2007 I was invited to build the sanctuary furniture for the Chapel of the new St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, being erected in Mishawaka, IN. Completion date is October, 2009. Consultants in this endeavor were Heather Lents of the HOK architectural firm, Sr. Laureen Painter, OSF of St. Joseph Medical Center, and the Liturgy Commission of the Diocese of Fort Wayne-South Bend. Very special thanks to the staff of Johnson's Workbench (South Bend) and to Joe Gorleski, Jr. (www.joewoodworker.com).

Red Gum and Maple were the woods (solid and veneer) used in construction. Poplar was used for all framework. The design focus was on curves and soft edges, so as to facilitate a more meditative environment.
